SPIRITUALITY AND RELIGION
Religion is about faith. It is the practice of your beliefs in whatever form you like. Something that goes beyond belief and can be proven practically or scientifically is automatically released from the boundaries of religion. When a belief is no more a belief, it is a fact. And we do not worship facts in religion. If we had been doing so, there would have existed only on religion and that would be the religion of the world, religion of the entire humanity. We believe in our personal beliefs only and that is why we have so many religions and the associated rituals.

People often ask me this, "Why Spirituality?"
Well, the answer is quite simple. But before we attempt to answer that, we must know the meaning of the term Spirituality and Being Spiritual.
This again is very simple. What we have been doing is to confuse spirituality with religion and rituals. We think that everything that resembles religion may also be connected to Spirituality. Well, friends, Spirituality includes religion but religion does not encapsulate Spirituality. I will explain.
Now, coming back to spirituality. It is just another field of study, a discipline like medicine or engineering or humanities or commerce. You take up the study of medicine to become a doctor. You study commerce to become an accountant. Similarly, you enter into the discipline of Spirituality to become Enlightened, Aware and to merge your Self with the Absolute. You want to identify your true Self, you wish to be Aware, you seek Enlightenment, you take up the study of Spirituality. It is the road that leads us to the Ultimate Truth.
It's as simple as that, my friends. Stop confusing yourself. Stop making baseless perceptions and misconceptions. Stop comparing your religious self with the spiritual self. When all your individual selves combine together, you get to know your true Self.

Our Hindu religion got origanally evolved over thousands of years incorporatiting Spirituality with it,perhaps tthe only religion with a mix of spirituality.The code of conduct of every section of society called DHARMA was enunciated(Rightetious behaviour and conduct which individual should percieve and pursue or Dharan towards humanity,all the existings in the universe ).

Generally, people define religion as a way of life. This 'way' has to be according to some rules. Who lays down these rule? The individual? Or, some enlightened person who has succeeded in life; not only worldly life but spiritual as well. He has lived through political, social, economic, and prevailing religious constraints and adopted a path that led him to emancipation. He propagates it and people who were in similar dilima, finds solace in the ideology. There can be an ideology with God at the centre stage or without reference to the existence of God.(Budhism)
ReplyDeleteIf the concept of the God Head is clear and well defined, theist religion doesn't succumb to ritualistic practices. Then, the aim becomes becoming like Him. And that lessons are imparted by the soul enlightened. He is the 'True Guru'who has achieved oneness with Him. Thete is no difference between Him and him.(Paarbrahm Gur nahin bheyd).
Spirituality is a vast collage made up of theist and atheist ideologies. Spirituality has God, Universe and Guru as its essential components where as religion has man, Guru and God to work on.
