RBI DIRECTIVE ON PENSION PAYMENT

        Are you a government pensioner wondering if you can receive your pension in a joint account or do you have to open a separate account to receive family pension? Did you know that banks have been asked to record the Pension Payment Order (PPO) number on the bank account passbook and that you can ask them to issue pension slips?
      To ensure that senior citizen pensioners of the government do not have to run from pillar to post to get their pension-related issues sorted, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued various directives to pension­ disbursing banks vide the master circular on this subject. The master circular was released on July 2, 2018.
       Knowledge of these instructions may help in getting your pension related problems resolved faster. Let us look at five issues commonly faced by pensioners

The US government has finally accepted that cholesterol is not a 'nutrient of concern', doing a U-turn on their warnings...

In the meantime of 40 years US Drug Industry in connivance with Health Department made over 1.5 trillion US Dollars by selling cholestrol lowering drugs. This fear probably caused death of a million gulliable citizen who believe the US drug industry. (My comment)

NOMINATION FOR LTA & COMPENDIUM FOR VETERANS

Dear Veterans,

          Please note that there is "Rule 5" under the "Payment of Arrears of Pension (Nomination) Rules, 1993" and also Def Pension Instructions at page 206, which is not known to most of us, the LNomination for Life time Arrears has been dealt at length.  It has been authentically confirmed from PCDA (Pensions) that the Rules do not permit payment of Life Time Arrears , if any, which may accrue, pertaining to the period of when the pensioner was alive, after his/her demise, unless there is a proper nomination made by the pensioner/family pensioner to the effect during his life time.

          In cases where there is no nomination the procedure to get the arrears is  tortuous as the legal heirs will need to get succession certificates from the court. 

          Apparently, payment of arrears is governed differently from the payment of family
