RBI has directed all banks to provide door-step services to all Seniors 70 and above. This means you don't have to go in the pouring rain to the bank. The banks have to get wet coming to you !!

BANKS HAVE BEEN KEEPING THIS UNDER WRAPS. 

The RBI has recently issued a directive to all banks in this regard to follow the provisions given in their circular. The directive has been placed below click on it to enlarge and read. They have also placed a News Paper Advert on 15 feb 2019 as placed along side.
   If your bank refuses to offer this service although you are above 70, then write a complaint to the RBI.. Banks have benefited from us for years. Now let them do some work for you, while you sip coffee. If you are above 70 ! Here's the RBI circular:--

In order to address these public concerns UIDAI has now provided an option on its Aadhaar Portal, with which you can easily lock or unlock your Aadhaar Biometrics Stored in their Database. Once you get enrolled for Aadhaar Card your biometrics details were captured such as  you’re both eyes iris scan, finger prints, and your photo. So all these  biometrics details can be locked from accessing by any one by you on line and on mobile App.

        Are you sure that you have been getting correct pension since 01 Jan 2006, we have noticed over 70% Pensioners and Family Pensioners have not been, specially those who are getting their pension from smaller banks. Its only when they worked out the "Due and Drawn Statement" with our tool as explained in this post,  that it was noticed by them that they  did not receive what they were entitled to, rather it was short by Lakhs of rupees (READ MORE).  

FAMILY PENSION FOR DAUGHTERS

ELIGIBILITY OF UNMARRIED / WIDOWED / DIVORCED DAUGHTERS FOR GRANT OF FAMILY PENSION

          In accordance with clauses (ii) and (iii) of sub-rule (6) of Rule 54 of the C.C.S. (Pension) Rules, 1972 read with clause (b) of Para 7.2 of this Department’s O.M. No.45/86/97-P&PW (A)-Part I dated the 27th October 1997, son/daughter including widowed/divorced daughter shall be eligible for grant of family pension till he/she attains the age of 25 years or up to the date of his/her marriage/remarriage, whichever is earlier (subject to income criterion to be notified separately). In this connection Govt Letter dated 30 Aug 2004 referes which is reproduced towards the end of this post..

The above provisions were modified with effect from 06 Sep 2007, wherein the unmarried daughters above 25 years of age are also eligible for pension at par with widowed/divorced daughters subject to other conditions being fulfilled and in case  there is no disabled child to receive the family pension.
