OROP CASE IN THE HONOURABLE SUPREME COURT FILED BY I.E.S.M
UPDATE - OROP CASE IN SUPREME COURT - 18-Nov-2020

TODAY 18-Nov-2020, The case was listed  for Final Hearing but our turn never came. Once again the the court fixed next date in Jan 2021.

Today on 10 Feb 2020, OROP case came up for hearing in court number 8 of Justice Dr Chandrachudand justice Indu at s no 49. Our turn came at 1240. 

Honourable justice expressed that this case is serious and affects our gallant soldiers and their morale and he would like to hear it in detail. Our lawyers pressed that we would need just 30 min to conclude our final arguments. Govt lawyer requested for time. Honourable justice expressed that he would like to hear this case for final disposal. Our lawyer requested for early date but Govt lawyer 

resisted and requested for time. Honourable justice fixed 24 Mar for hearing and final disposal of OROP case. 

Our lawyers further requested for case to be listed as priority and be listed at early serial number. This request was accepted by Honourable Justice. 

Next date for final disposal of OROP petition is 24 Mar 2020. 

Large number of exservicemen came to Supreme Court to show their solidarity.

UPDATE - OROP CASE IN SUPREME COURT

04 DECEMBER 2019

1. Today OROP case was heard in court no 8 under Justice Dr Chandrachud and justice Hemant GUPTA. 
   
   
2. Government counsel appeared on behalf of GOI and requested for more time to file an affidavit for reply of action taken by Govt on the order passed by HSC on 1 May 2019. 
   
   
3. Justices agreed to give two weeks time to GOI to file the affidavit. Our counsel Mr Hujefa contested but court directed that case be listed
   in second week of Jan 2020. 
   
   
4. Our side was represented by learned lawyers headed by Mr Hujeja and his team. Large number of ESM of all ranks collected in HSC to hear final disposal of OROP case but had to contend with extension of date. 
   
   
5. However spirit of ESM is high and we expect positive judgement on our petition for full OROP as per approved definition of OROP.
